Principal Mechanical Engineer | London (Hybrid)

Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)

What you will do
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:
* Lead mechanical design across projects from early concept through to completion
* Coordinate closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams
* Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
* Contribute to internal quality, design standards and knowledge sharing
* Support business development activity and help shape project strategies
* Design and deliver low-energy mechanical systems aligned with net zero goals
What you will bring
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership with a recognised institution
* Typically 8+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design within the UK
* Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate across disciplines
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, thermal modelling and low-carbon technologies
* Experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages
* Confident leadership, communication and mentoring skills
* A proactive, design-focused mindset with a passion for sustainable engineering
