About The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of the management accounts within a timely manner each month, preparing reconciliations and processing the necessary journals as required. Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting with preparation of the management accounts, including initial review of variances, assist with quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
2. Prepare schedule for accruals and prepayments of income and expenses and post into accounting system
3. Import payroll and expenses plus other journals into the accounting system
4. Post any other journals required to prepare the management accounts
5. Preparing fixed asset schedule and balance sheet reconciliations
6. Regularly review debtor balances ensuring all old debt is allocated to the appropriate person in Sales Ledger

7. Ideally working towards at least AAT qualification
8. Be confident working under tight deadlines
9. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
10. Nominal Ledger experience to trial balance level
11. Experience of working in a ¿non for profit¿ or similar environment preferred
12. Clear understanding of accounting principles
13. Inquisitive and growth mindset, committed to process improvements
