About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician / Mobile Mechanic to join a growing fleet maintenance and mobile servicing operation supporting commercial and private customers across the region.
This role is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance in a professional field-based environment.
You'll carry out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a wide range of cars, light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and minibuses at customer sites including schools, fleet operators, leasing companies, and corporate clients.
All work is pre-booked and organised in advance — this is not breakdown recovery or emergency roadside work.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs on cars, LCVs, and minibuses
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
* Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance checks
* Complete accurate job sheets and digital vehicle reports
* Deliver professional customer service while representing the business on-site
* Maintain company vehicle, tools, and workshop equipment to a high standard
* Work independently while managing daily workload efficiently
* Ensure all repairs meet safety, compliance, and manufacturer standards
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mobile Vehicle Technician / Automotive Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
* Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) preferred
* Minimum 3 years' workshop-based experience
* D1 licence entitlement required
* Full UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
* Comfortable working independently in a mobile role
* Own hand tools required
* Reliable, organised, and customer-focused approach
