Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Division B Education Team. We are looking for a registered nurse with an interest and experience in respiratory nursing to join our team on a 9‑month secondment.
The Education Team works across Division B, supporting new starters, developing existing members of staff and implementing evidence‑based practice into clinical areas.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be an excellent role model and provide clinical support to staff. It is vital that the successful individual demonstrates a high standard of evidence‑based practice working in respiratory/medical areas and is passionate about education.
They will need to be able to work autonomously and proactively to positively influence the quality of the clinical learning environment. They will foster a positive learning culture, which supports continuous personal development, through classroom based learning and practice‑based support in clinical areas. They must be approachable and work well within a team‑based setting.
They will be supported to prepare and present practice based education and development to a mixed audience with differing levels of knowledge, presenting ideas in ways that promote understanding, through a variety of media and communication aids. Clinical support shifts are undertaken in a supportive manner, working alongside staff to build confidence and competence.
They will work collaboratively with clinical and non‑clinical teams to support the development of staff. This includes students, practice educators, preceptors, trainees, and members of the wider multi professional team.
The education team offers opportunities to develop your career in both your clinical and educational portfolio. You will be supported to develop the required skills needed to support others both clinically and in a classroom.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
* Professional requirements e.g. Registered Nurse or Registered Professional or Non‑registered support worker etc.
* Professional knowledge acquired through degree education or equivalent experience
* Mentoring / coaching / education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Significant experience within relevant field
* Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting
Desirable Criteria
* Education at a master's degree level
* Further education at a master's degree level in relevant practice area
* Leadership qualification or significant equivalent experience
* Previous Band 6 experienceFurther evidence of speciality competence
