As the Head of Section, Imports & Logistics, you will oversee the Hyundai Import Centre, ensuring efficient logistics operations that enhance revenue, reduce costs, and improve satisfaction for retailers and customers. You will shape our logistics strategy, aligning with HMUK's long-term vision and industry trends.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure import centre operations meet volume, lead times, and quality standards.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, including tender processes.
Translate HMUK's business strategy into supply chain and operational improvements.
Communicate strategies effectively to teams and secure commitments.
Resolve process, organizational, and policy issues to meet business goals.
Develop procedures to improve service and efficiency.
Ensure vehicles are prepared to standard before dispatch.
Deliver excellent service to departments, dealers, fleet customers, and press.
Work with partners to secure optimal contracts for goods and services.
Manage operational changes and transport contractors for timely delivery.
Collaborate with suppliers for service and cost improvements.
Oversee PDI processes for internal and fleet vehicles.
Coordinate with marketing and sales to meet production and sales demands.
Engage with ports and logistics providers to meet shipping needs.
Maintain staffing levels and skills at the import centre.
Manage stock levels and parts inventory to meet production needs.
Handle warranty, damage, and shortage claims efficiently.
Maximize production efficiency and control costs.
Manage site security and special campaigns.
Monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
Oversee the EV Technician apprenticeship program.
