Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, Nu-heat has ambitious growth plans. The Role The Purchaser role reports to the Purchasing Manager, is part of the Nu-Heat purchasing team and works closely with the product development, customer support, distribution and manufacturing teams in Honiton and Exeter. The role is responsible for purchasing across a range of Nu-Heat suppliers including new supplier sourcing, supporting negotiations, managing supplier relationships and completing due diligence/compliance processes. The Purchaser will use the MRP and ERP system effectively to manage orders, inventory records and stock levels. Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:00 Working style: On-Site Responsibilit ies Supplier Management Effectively manage a range of Nu-Heat suppliers Build close working relationships with suppliers to ensure product is high quality, delivered on time and at the right price Establish and maintain Product Purchasing Profile with all key suppliers Assist with the selection of new suppliers to supply products based upon quality, cost, delivery and group policy Effectively onboard new suppliers Work collaboratively with Product Development team to ensure new products are designed for manufacture & meet specification and quality requirements Assist and produce reports and analysis on spend, cost saving, cash conversion, contractual progress and purchasing KPI performance Stock Management Maintain and update inventory records for purchased items Monitor stock levels and order to ensure we have the correct levels/ mix of stock to maintain stock availability for customers Accurately forecast and monitor stock value including review of any aged or obsolete stock Escalation point for Fulfilment customer support team in relation to supply issues Coordinate with distribution and manufacturing team to ensure safe & proper storage of all products Identify solutions and source from alternative suppliers when first choice suppliers cannot meet demand or quality requirements The Person Ideally qualified to a minimum of CIPS Level 3 or able and willing to be trained Hands-on experience of MRP and/or ERP software to manage ordering and stock levels Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven previous experience in purchasing and managing supplier relationships Experience of negotiating - contributing to commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers on behalf of the business Experience of creating and implementing category plans Well-developed influencing skills and communication skills – ability to collaborate and deliver projects with key stakeholders such as product development, warehouse and manufacturing, customer support, technical and finance Experience of using Microsoft Excel to handle and analyse data sets including using formulae, pivot tables, charts etc The Benefits 23 days holiday Pension contribution matched up to 8% Life Assurance 3x base salary Genuit sharesave scheme Here at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group’s success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool.
