Defence Land Systems Safety/Certification Engineer
Frazer-Nash Consultancy invites applications for the Defence Land Systems Safety/Certification Engineer role. The position operates across Bristol, Gloucester, Leatherhead, Burton or Manchester with a flexible hybrid working pattern split between office, client sites and home.
Salary range: £42,000 to £50,000 per annum. Closing date: 9th January 2026 – early applications encouraged.
Essential Requirements
* At least 2 years’ experience working in, or technically leading, multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the defence land domain.
* Demonstrated understanding of safety aspects across a project/systems life cycle.
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience working with or for Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S).
* Practitioner in one or more of the following disciplines:
o Safety & Roadworthiness;
o Cyber Security for Roadworthiness (ISO/SAE 21434:2021);
o Land Certification (DEFSTAN Def Stan 23-015, Land System Certification (LSC));
o Regulatory & Legislative Compliance;
o Modifications and configuration control.
* Previous or current experience as an engineering consultant.
* Working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
