The Newcastle Virtual School is seeking to appoint a permanent Educational Achievement Coordinator to its established team.
This is a key role, ensuring that the education of children in care reachers the highest standards possible and that professionals involved are held to account through the monitoring and quality assurance of personal education plans.
The successful candidate will have had experience of working in an education setting and can demonstarte an undertanding of how trauma can impact upon a child's potential. They will be able to work independently following a hybrid working model, and must therefore be comfortable with all aspects of IT and leading video calls.
The ability o be solution focused is essential, as is the awareness of how these solutions form part of a wider strategy when working with a range of services and other professionals. This interpersonal approach is fundemental to the Virtual School and is closely supported by electronic record keeping and processes.
