About the Role
We are seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Derby and the surrounding Derbyshire areas.
This is a flexible position ideal for experienced cover staff who want to manage their own schedule. You choose the days you’re available to work, and we’ll offer placements that fit around your free time.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while following pre-prepared lesson plans.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups.
Deliver and manage pre-prepared lesson plans left by teaching staff.
Maintain a calm, focused, and safe learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Build positive relationships with students and staff across different schools.
About You
Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Flexible, reliable, and confident working with young people.
Able to adapt quickly to different school environments and subjects.
A passion for supporting education and student development.
