Children’s Home Registered Manager – 4-Bed EBD Home
Location: Nottingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 39 per week
Salary: Up to £55,800 including performance-related bonuses
A well-established residential childcare provider is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4-bed EBD home in the Nottingham area. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a new service, drive standards, and lead a committed team delivering high-quality care to young people.
The Role
The Registered Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance. You will lead and develop your team, oversee all safeguarding practices, and ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements including Ofsted and relevant legislation.
Key objectives include:
* Providing strong, supportive leadership to the staff team
* Creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes
* Ensuring high-quality, child-centred practice across the service
* Managing budgets, staffing rotas, and resources effectively
* Overseeing admissions, care planning, and placement transitions
* Producing clear, evaluative written reports and maintaining accurate records
* Chairing meetings and representing the home with external agencies
* Participating in the on-call rota and occasional sleep-in duties
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, children’s legislation, and Ofsted frameworks
* Experience managing or deputy managing within a children’s residential setting
* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
* Confident decision-maker with excellent communication and organisational skills
* Resilient, professional, and able to maintain boundaries
* Full UK driving licence
