Salary: £36,363-£40,777 per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Pro Rata

Join Our Family Safeguarding Team in Chorley. We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team. Working closely with a multi‑ disciplinary group of professionals and reporting to the Consultant Social Worker and Team Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and families to build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and achieve lasting positive change. In this role, you will complete meaningful assessments, create child‑focused plans, and work directly with families to promote safety, resilience, and wellbeing. You’ll also take part in reflective group supervision and ensure that all casework is clearly and analytically recorded on LCS. Some evening, weekend, or public holiday work may occasionally be required to meet service needs.

What You’ll Do

* Manage a diverse caseload of children and families
* Undertake assessments and develop clear, outcome‑focused plans
* Work within a multi‑agency environment to provide holistic support
* Contribute to safeguarding and child protection processes
* Ensure the voice of the child is at the centre of all your work


What We’re Looking For

* A qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
* Experience in children’s social care, ideally within safeguarding
* Strong communication, assessment, and analytical skills
* A commitment to trauma‑informed, relationship‑based practice
* Newly qualified social workers are welcome and will be fully supported through the ASYE programme
