Job Overview
As an RTA Fee Earner, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of personal injury claims from start to finish. This includes handling MOJ and non-MOJ claims, liaising with clients, and negotiating settlements with third-party insurers. You will also be expected to ensure compliance with internal protocols and the SRA Code of Conduct (2011).
Key Responsibilities
4. Manage a caseload of RTA personal injury claims from instruction to settlement
5. Handle MOJ and non-MOJ claims, including liability disputes and allegations of fraud or fundamental dishonesty
6. Register claims on Proclaim and the MOJ portal, progressing cases through to Stage 3 where applicable
7. Liaise with clients to provide clear, professional advice and updates
8. Assess liability, formulate case strategies, and arrange ATE insurance
9. Negotiate settlements with third-party insurers to secure the best outcomes
10. Ensure compliance with internal protocols and the SRA Code of Conduct (2011)
11. Process bills and maintain accurate case records
Key Requirements
12. Proven experience in RTA personal injury claims, ideally from inception to settlement
13. Strong working knowledge of the MOJ portal and Proclaim case management system
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
15. High attention to detail and a methodical approach to case handling
16. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
17. A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for client care and legal excellence
