Environmental, Health & Safety Manager
Location: Ramsgate
Position type: Full time/Permanent
We're looking for an experienced EHS Manager to join the team in Ramsgate. This is a hands-on role where you'll take the lead on all aspects of environment, health and safety across the site.
What you'll be doing:
Make sure we're fully compliant with UK HSE legislation and environmental regs
Keep up to date with ISO standards and manage audits and inspections
Carry out risk assessments, hazard analyses and implement control measures
Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions
Develop and update EHS policies and procedures, making sure everyone understands them
Deliver or organise EHS training for staff and contractors, plus run toolbox talks and inductions
Track and report EHS performance, record incidents and use data to drive improvements
Carry out site inspections and safety audits, working closely with the engineering team to design for safety and sustainability
Oversee waste disposal, pollution control, resource conservation and carbon footprint reduction
Manage health surveillance, monitor for early signs of work-related ill health and keep COSHH up to date
What we're looking for:
Solid EHS management experience, ideally in manufacturing, engineering or construction
Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
Comfortable managing audits and working with ISO standards
NEBOSH Diploma or similar qualification
Confident communicator who can build good working relationships across all levels
