After 16 years and over 1.2 million orders, we're continuing to grow and we're looking for a dynamic Marketing Executive to help us build our loyal community and spread even more Sponge joy.
The Role
As our Marketing Executive, you'll play a hands-on role in bringing the Sponge brand to life. Working closely with the Marketing Director and wider team, you'll support and deliver day-to-day marketing activity across digital, social, email and events.
But just as importantly, you'll dive into our data understanding customer journeys, analysing performance metrics, and turning insights into actionable marketing ideas. From social engagement to email open rates and buying behaviours, you'll help us make smarter decisions that put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
This role is perfect for someone with around 18 months' experience in marketing (or a marketing graduate with relevant experience) who's brimming with ideas, confident with data, and loves all things digital. Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow our social media platforms working alongside our Content Manager.
* Support, deliver and report on targeted email marketing campaigns.
* Keep our website fresh, updated, and customer friendly.
* Spot opportunities to promote Sponge and attract new customers.
* Coordinate trade shows, events, and consumer activities.
* Analyse and interpret marketing data (socials, email, customer purchase behaviour) to optimise campaigns and improve customer journeys.
* Prepare reports and proposals based on data insights to support decision-making.
* Draft award entries and support content submissions to the PR agency.
* Build and strengthen relationships with partners, suppliers, and local businesses.
* Champion the Sponge brand, ensuring consistency online and offline.
Skills & Experience
* Passionate about marketing, data, and content (and cakes).
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
* Proactive self-starter who takes ownership of projects.
* Team player who works well with colleagues, agencies, and suppliers.
* Comfortable with data: able to interpret analytics and turn insight into action.
* Creative thinker who isn't afraid to share new ideas.
* Strong digital skills; confidence in Microsoft Office suite, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Adobe/graphic design skills are a plus.
* Great communicator who can build and maintain strong relationships.
* Basic copywriting and/or design skills would be an advantage.
* Driving licence essential

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
