We’re looking for a Fleet Internal Programme Manager to lead key Fleet projects and ensure programme activity is delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. About the Role You will oversee internal Fleet programme activity and support wider Royal Mail programmes that rely on Fleet expertise. You’ll work closely with Fleet teams, subject matter experts and the central Transformation Office to plan deployments, manage risks and keep progress moving. Your work will help ensure Fleet transformation supports Royal Mail’s long‑term strategy and operational needs. Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do) Lead delivery of Fleet project activity, ensuring outcomes meet time, cost, benefit and quality expectations. Support and deploy Fleet transformation activity in line with Fleet strategy. Work with Fleet teams and experts to create clear deployment plans, including risk and contingency planning. Coordinate with the Transformation Office to share updates, escalate risks and align programme activities. Represent Fleet in other Royal Mail projects to ensure Fleet requirements are understood and delivered. Identify, monitor, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop vehicle infrastructure solutions. Ensure project reviews are carried out at appropriate stages. About You You are organised, proactive and able to explain complex information clearly. You enjoy working with others, solving problems and keeping projects on track. You work well under pressure and can adapt when priorities change. What You’ll Bring Strong analytical, modelling and decision‑making skills. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes through people. Experience delivering new initiatives and supporting business change. Good written communication and confident presentation skills. Experience in Fleet, logistics or mail operations. Knowledge of UK road transport legislation and continuous improvement methods. Degree‑level education and/or IMI Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification.
