On Track Technicians are looking for an experienced
SHEQ Manager (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality)
to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe work environment, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on best practices for health, safety, and environmental management.
* Lead consultation and participation activities with employees.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies and procedures align with industry standards and contract requirements.
* Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and preventive measures.
* Monitor and report on key health, safety, and environmental performance indicators.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement.
Role Criteria
* 3 years construction health and safety, environmental and quality management experience
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Lead Auditor qualification
* Formal environmental qualification (desirable)
* Understanding of Construction Safety standards and processes
* Extensive experienced in production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Experience of reporting to Board level on SHEQ matters
* IT capabilities including being proficient on Microsoft Office
* Experience of manging training and competence requirements along with the ability to advise on technical training requirements.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work with senior colleagues and the ability to explain complex information to non-experts
* Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organisation
* Good presentation and training skills.
* Experience of railway safety critical requirements (desirable)
