Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our community café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a community focused environment and possess strong leadership qualities. They must demonstrate a confident and enthusiastic approach to inspire our learners, volunteers and staff.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the café, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory control
* Supervise and train café team members in kitchen operations, and customer service
* Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings are consistently delivered to customers
* Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
* Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations in the café
* Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and ordering supplies
Skills
* Experience in kitchen management and food preparation.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of volunteers
* Previous experience in a cafe, or restaurant setting is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Hours
* A five day working week is anticipated but as in all cafe management roles some flexibility, especially In peak season will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £27,300.00 per year
Experience:
* Supervising: 4 years (preferred)
* Restaurant management: 2 years (preferred)
