About the Role
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for Care Assistants to work with our male service user in the Haxton area. We will provide full training and competency assessment & sign off for care assistants to support a service user with Brain Injury management, Epilepsy, Dystonia management, Dysphagia monitoring and PEG care. These things, all in all, contribute to major personal challenges for our service users' physical and mental health.
The ideal care assistant to work in this exciting role will be someone who is understanding, enthusiastic, patient and most importantly, an amazing communicator! The service user is non-verbal, and therefore needs someone who will take the time to understand him and his preferred forms of communication.
Prior to their accident, the service user thoroughly enjoyed sports and still enjoys watching football or squash. He listens to music throughout the day, and overall, they are a very happy, enthusiastic and determined individual, simply wanting additional support to improve their situation.
Requirements for the Role
* Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we are looking for an outgoing, bubbly candidate who can show their best assets in providing the highest quality of support.
* A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience is desirable but not essential (in this package, they accept carers with no experience, and we'll do the Care Certificate)
* Complex Care experience preferred, but not a mandatory need.
* To provide the correct compliance documents, including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
