Are you ready for a career thats a step away from the norm? We are seeking experienced engineers to take on the role of
Specialist Inspector in Electrical, Control and Cyber Security (ECCS). This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to safeguard high-hazard industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, energy, and pharmaceuticals. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring major accident risks are controlled, while also developing legal, investigative and specialist skills through world-class training. This role will see you: Inspecting high-hazard installations across the UK to ensure safety compliance.
Assessing safety reports and identifying areas of risk.
Investigating accidents and incidents, including forensic analysis of electrical/control systems.
Producing technical inspection reports and, where necessary, taking enforcement action.
Acting as a technical advisor and, at times, an expert witness in tribunals or legal proceedings.
Driving improvements in industry standards, influencing policy, and sharing expertise at forums and conferences.
Youll be part of a highly skilled national team, with opportunities to travel across Great Britain (with occasional overnight stays). What Were Looking For
Were interested in candidates with strong technical expertise and experience in
major hazard or high-consequence industries. Essential criteria include: Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (IET or equivalent) or the ability to achieve chartered status.
Significant experience in a technical engineering role within high-hazard industries.
Proven track record in the design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of process control and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
Practical knowledge of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres (Ex).
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience producing detailed technical reports and explaining complex findings to non-technical audiences.
A
full UK driving licence
(or equivalent travel capability) is required. Benefits
