Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow, Managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts has 244 bedrooms, 10 meeting and event spaces, and three vibrant dining outlets, including two c rooftop restaurant overlooking Heathrow Airports runway Courtyard by Marriott London Heathrow is looking for a talented and driven Junior Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
Working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, you will help oversee culinary operations across our three hotel restaurants, conference and banqueting facilities, and busy hotel dining services. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to develop within a fast-paced hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation.
Supervise chefs and kitchen staff during service, ensuring food quality and consistency across all outlets.
Assist with menu preparation, recipe development, and food presentation standards.
Help manage stock control, ordering, supplier coordination, and waste reduction.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, HACCP compliance, and kitchen cleanliness.
Train, mentor, and motivate junior team members.
Support conference, banqueting, and event catering operations.
Assist with rota planning, labour control, and kitchen efficiency.
Help maintain profitability through portion control and effective cost management.
What Were Looking For Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef within hotels, restaurants, or high-volume hospitality venues.
Strong culinary skills with experience in both Indian and Western cuisine.
Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team during busy service periods.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Good understanding of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
Experience with stock control and kitchen cost management.
Passion for delivering high-quality food and guest experiences.
