Senior Lawyer - Flood & Coastal Risk Management and Planning Team - 32054

Responsibilities
* Advising the Environment Agency’s National Infrastructure Team in the development consent order process and in respect of planning and national infrastructure legislative regimes.
* Providing legal advice on planning law, infrastructure planning law, environmental law and related matters.
* Working with a diverse range of partners to support water supply, flood risk reduction, and air, land, and water quality protection.
* Contributing to the National Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) and Planning legal team’s projects with autonomy and a focus on environmental legal perspective.
Qualifications
* Qualified lawyer with the right to practise in England and Wales.
* 3+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in public, planning or environmental law.
* Strong analytical skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of public law principles.
* Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Credibility and ability to explain complex legal matters clearly.
* Experience handling complex legal issues in a public/infrastructure environment.
