Overview
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the role is focused on the growth of a specific sales region. The area already has an existing client portfolio, but success hinges on 80% New Business Development and 20% Account Management of the existing customer base. The candidate should come from a Materials Handling background, ideally within the Fork Lift Industry. You will participate in all stages of the sales process, including initial prospecting, appointment making, customer presentations and demonstrations, and closing the deal. Effective planning and management of the territory are crucial, as is your work ethic, drive, and enthusiasm. The role adopts a consultative approach, working across all levels from shop floor to board level to develop a thorough understanding of prospects or customers and identify opportunities to secure new business, develop existing business, or provide additional value.
Responsibilities
* Lead all stages of the sales process from prospecting to closing.
* Plan and manage the territory effectively with a consultative selling approach.
* Develop a thorough understanding of each prospect or customer and their operations.
* Identify opportunities to secure new business and to develop or provide additional value to existing customers.
* Maintain strong relationships across stakeholder levels, from shop floor to board level.
* Demonstrate and present equipment and solutions, including price negotiation and objection handling.
* Maintain a successful sales track record within the electric warehousing equipment sector or related industries (e.g., pallet racking systems).
* Display career stability and a strong employment history.
* Be a self-starter with high energy, drive, and determination.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years in Materials Handling sales, ideally within the Fork Lift Industry.
* Strong new business development skills.
* Effective account management and development capabilities.
* Personable with the ability to build strong relationships.
* Strong presentation and customer-facing skills (written and verbal), equipment demonstrations, price negotiation, and objection handling.
* Commercial acumen (need identification, market awareness, competitor awareness).
* Solution-selling ability.
* Numerically competent.
* IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
* Excellent organizational skills (territory planning, time management, meeting deadlines).
* Ability to absorb client information and communicate features and benefits to customers.

Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week, may be more to fulfill job requirements. Target Salary: Highly competitive salary plus excellent commission and quarterly bonus.
