Job Description:
We are seeking a Hygiene Operative to work at an award-winning, family-run food production business in Lostwithiel.
This is a temporary position to cover on-going sickness.
You must be able to drive and have your own car.
Reporting to the Hygiene Team Leader, this role is to ensure staff facilities, factory and offices remain in a clean and hygienic standard. Following the Cleaning Instruction cards to ensure the tasks are carried out in a safe and logical manner.
We are looking for a person who is self-motivated, has an eye for detail and takes pride in their work and maintains a can-do attitude.
The role:
Cleaning of the following areas on daily and weekly rotas:
1. Factory production areas to include use of Foaming units and hoses.
2. Preparation of factory equipment to enable cleaning process and reassembly.
3. Factory Facilities, including offices.
4. External silo and environmental cleaning.
5. Main office including meeting rooms and toilets.
6. Staff Rest areas, including vending machines, smoking area & food storage.
7. Risk Based Changing rooms.
8. Other areas as directed by the hygiene team leader when required.
9. Restocking of consumables in all areas.
10. Identify faults with hygiene equipment and report to hygiene team leader.
11. Identify additional works for consideration by hygiene team leader.
12. Following strict health, safety, and food hygiene procedures.
13. Using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
14. Training provided.
15. Due to the location, a Driving licence is essential.
16. Due to the nature of the role must be over 18 years old.
Desirable but NOT essential:
17. Industrial cleaning experience.
18. Food production or manufacturing experience.
19. COSHH awareness.
Hours/Pay:
20. Varying shift patterns (must be flexible) which may include 7am - 5pm / 8am - 6pm / 10am - 14:30pm etc.
21. 12.89 an hour.
22. Weekly pay.
23. Must drive & have access to transport.
24. Accrue Holiday pay!
25. Immediate start.
