Graduate HPLC Scientist – VRS UK
Our client has a reputation in the field for tackling highly complex analytical studies that require extensive industry expertise to solve. They support clients in understanding the lifecycle of chemicals in the environment and impact on ecosystems, with over 65 years in the aquatic, ecotoxicology, and environmental fate industries. The role offers exposure to the latest analytical instrumentation in a collaborative, team-focused culture, in a picturesque seafront location in Brixham, Devon.
Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking a recent Analytical Chemistry or Environmental Science graduate to join their Environmental Fate department. The state-of-the-art laboratory is equipped to support challenging GLP-regulated projects across the industry. You will work with a range of analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, LSC and TLC, identify and analyse radiolabelled compounds within varied matrices, and perform extraction techniques such as SPE, LLE and QuEChERS.
Responsibilities
* Assist with analysis of radiolabelled compounds in complex sample matrices using HPLC, LSC and TLC.
* Perform extraction techniques such as SPE, LLE and QuEChERS.
* Support GLP-regulated projects within the Environmental Fate department.
* Contribute to method development and validation activities as part of a collaborative team.
To Be Considered For This Opportunity You Must Have
* BSc/MSc in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a closely related field.
* Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for laboratory work.
* Hands-on experience with HPLC (or similar instrumentation) would be highly beneficial.
