Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs are required in Hampshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN / SEND and SEMH needs, including those with MLD and SLD. This role is suited for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional educational needs
* Young people referred by local authorities and schools who require educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support holistic development
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned with the learner’s needs and progression
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD or other educational needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with obtaining at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online work
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker, providing short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with payment via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Company insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
