Job Title: Events & Wedding Coordinator
Location: Solihull
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum plus bonuses
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and sales-driven Events & Wedding Coordinator to join a team in Solihull. You will be responsible for planning and delivering memorable weddings, private functions, and corporate events, while also driving new business opportunities and maximising revenue for the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the main point of contact for clients from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
2. Proactively identify new sales opportunities and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
3. Conduct show rounds and confidently promote the hotel’s facilities to prospective clients.
4. Prepare event schedules, contracts, and accurate billing information.
5. Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless event delivery and excellent guest experiences.
6. Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
7. Handle enquiries by phone and email with professionalism and efficiency.
8. Maintain accurate records using hotel booking and event management systems.
9. Support other hotel departments where required, ensuring high standards across the guest journey.
Key Requirements:
10. Previous experience in events, weddings, or hospitality coordination.
11. A strong sales mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities and close deals.
12. Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management skills.
13. IT proficient, with confidence using booking systems and MS Office.
14. Professional telephone manner and strong communication skills.
15. Ability to adapt to changing demands and remain calm under pressure.
16. Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
17. Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the hotel.
