Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the Chemistry curriculum as part of a cohesive, supportive, and high-achieving Science department.
The Role – Head of Chemistry
As Head of Chemistry, you will:
* Lead and develop the Chemistry curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Support and mentor other members of the Science department
* Work closely with the Head of Science to drive standards and innovation
* Deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality Chemistry lessons
* Contribute to the strategic direction of the department and wider school
* Take responsibility for tracking student progress and attainment in Chemistry
* Promote a culture of excellence, curiosity, and academic success
Requirements – What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in a Science-related subject, ideally Chemistry
* Strong subject knowledge and passion for Chemistry
* Proven ability to inspire and motivate students
* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Experience in middle leadership or as a 2nd in department is desirable
