About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to support the Health, Safety, and Operational Risk team in delivering an effective and professional service across the University. You will provide comprehensive administrative support, coordinate health and safety training, manage e-learning systems, and maintain policies, procedures, and records.
Key Responsibilities Include
Acting as secretary for strategic and high-profile committees and meetings.
Coordinating training, analysing feedback, and managing e-learning participation.
Monitoring incidents, supporting investigations, and reporting trends.
Maintaining policies, procedures, SharePoint resources, and Document Control compliance.
Supporting projects, audits, workplace inspections, and cross-department initiatives.
Providing advice and guidance to colleagues to promote consistent and effective ways of working.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.

About You
As Health and Safety Assistant, you will be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong IT skills and the ability to produce and analyse data. A keen interest in Health and Safety would be advantageous.
