Are you ready to take your engineering skills to the next level? We’re looking for a passionate Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance, all while promoting safety and efficiency.
Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our controller to maximize the operational availability of our equipment. Your mission? To conduct timely and efficient routine maintenance, perform machine inspections, and identify potential issues before they become problems. You’ll be an ambassador for safety, ensuring that every service promotes a secure environment for both yourself and our customers.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing of equipment according to manufacturer guidelines, including taking routine oil samples (75%)
* Machine Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical analyses of machine conditions, highlighting any developing issues (20%)
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs identified during inspections and install telematic systems (5%)

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that all drivers have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. (Eligibility will be subject to a full DVLA license check)
Working Hours: 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday, with one Saturday in three at an overtime rate.
What You Bring
We’re looking for candidates with:
* A basic knowledge of the four main product elements: Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics
* Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years), such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or Agricultural Engineer
* A formal apprenticeship qualification (C&G level 1) is desirable, along with health & safety training (further training will be provided)
