Job Description
Sous Chef:
* Support Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
* Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
* Ensure food safety and allergen controls are met consistently
* Contribute to innovative menu planning
* Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service
* Support events and functions alongside school life
Junior Sous:
* Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team.
* Contribute to creating modern, fresh dishes.
* Ensure high standards in food preparation and presentation.
* Oversee kitchen operations and inventory management.
* Prepare meals for hospitality services and events.
* A keen interest in cooking and professional catering.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred) – if not already achieved, support will be provided to complete these as part of the apprenticeship.
* A willingness to learn and work towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.
* A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment to training.
