To start asap.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council Support team as a Business Support Co-ordinator (BSC). This key role involves line-managing a team of administration staff who provide essential support to a range of Council services.We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill this vital position.**Key Responsibilities:** Line management of team, ensuring effective performance, development, and support.Overseeing the delivery of high-quality administrative and operational support across multiple service areas.Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of support functions within the Infrastructure team.Supporting continuous improvement and service efficiency initiatives.Collaborating with senior managers and service leads to align support with operational needs.**Essential Skills and Experience:** Proven supervisory or line management experience, ideally within a public sector or administrative environment.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and lead a team through change.A proactive and solution-focused approach to service delivery.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.**Work Environment:** The successful candidate will be office-based initially at John Muir House, Haddington with the potential to explore hybrid working arrangements in the future, subject to service requirements and performance.## Job DetailsTo supervise a team of staff responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to a Team/Unit/Division/Department or School within East Lothian Council.**Please download the Job Outline/Person Specification (available under 'Job Attachments') for the full range of tasks and duties associated with this job.
