Role Overview
As Senior Supervisor / Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, staff leadership, and customer service excellence. You'll be a key decision-maker on the shop floor, ensuring smooth running of the store, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive team culture. With an opportunity for career progression to store Manager if an opportunity within the group arises.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership: Oversee daily store operations, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Team Management: Support recruitment, training, and performance management of staff. Lead by example and motivate the team to achieve targets.
* Customer Service Excellence: Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring a friendly and efficient shopping experience.
* Stock & Merchandising: Manage stock levels, deliveries, and merchandising standards to maximise sales and minimise waste.
* Compliance & Safety: Uphold health & safety, food safety, and data protection standards across all departments.
* Cash & Security: Oversee cash handling procedures, safe checks, and security protocols.
* Reporting & Communication: Assist with sales reporting, rota planning, and communication between departments and senior management.
