Pay Rate: £35 – £40 per hour
Contract Type: Locum / Temporary

We are currently recruiting for the following Children’s Social Work roles:
Bridlington – Children’s Assessment Team
* Senior Social Worker – £35 per hour
* Team Manager – £40 per hour
Beverley – Locality Safeguarding Team
* Senior Social Worker – £35 per hour
These roles involve working within children’s safeguarding, child protection, and assessment services, supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families through safeguarding interventions and care planning.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on the specific role, responsibilities may include:
* Engaging with children, young people, and families to ensure their voices are central to assessments and planning.
* Producing high-quality, evidence-based assessments and safeguarding reports.
* Undertaking Section 47 investigations where there are concerns of significant harm.
* Developing safety plans, Child in Need (CIN) plans, and safeguarding interventions.
* Managing safeguarding cases involving child protection, care proceedings, and permanence planning.
* Participating in multi-agency safeguarding meetings and strategy discussions.
* Preparing court reports, care plans, and permanency plans where required.
* Working collaboratively with partner agencies, foster carers, and adoptive families to support positive outcomes for children.
* Supervising and supporting social workers in leadership roles.
* Chairing safeguarding meetings and overseeing complex cases.
* Completing quality assurance, case audits, and performance monitoring.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
* Social Work England registration
* Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within UK children’s social work
* Strong experience within children’s safeguarding, child protection, or assessment teams
* Experience completing Section 47 investigations and safeguarding assessments
* Experience preparing court reports and working within care proceedings
* Strong ability to work with multi-agency safeguarding partners
* ABE (Achieving Best Evidence) training is desirable
* Previous Senior Social Worker, Assistant Team Manager, or Team Manager experience is advantageous
