We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering.
Skills & Responsibilities
* Performs general mechanical engineering duties within agreed schedules and budgets, with guidance from Lead Engineer.
* May undertake specific technical studies or assist in technology reviews under supervision.
* Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure design consistency across the project.
* Supports the Lead Engineer in identifying technical issues that may affect project progress or budgets.
* Interfaces with clients under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Works on feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects with support from Lead Engineer.
* Provides mechanical input in multi-discipline design reviews and assists in closing out action items.
* Reviews ITB documents and supports proposal evaluations.
* Ensures compatibility and compliance with client specifications, recommending improvements within project scope.
* Adheres to Kent’s ISO‑accredited QMS and project‑specific procedures, guides, and standards.
Your Knowledge / Skills, Education & Experience
* Typically holds a degree in mechanical engineering or post‑graduate mechanical engineering qualification.
* Working towards chartership is advantageous; status is preferred.
* Experience of working for engineering/client organisations in the oil and gas industry.
* Exposure to consultancy, FEED, detailed design and EPC projects.
* Knowledge of applicable international and industry specifications, standards and codes.
* Knowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practice.

* Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
