Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: London Office Based / Remote
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)
Role Purpose
Join our client on their exciting digital transformation journey! We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in understanding business needs, analysing processes, and translating requirements into actionable solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify improvement opportunities, define requirements, and support the delivery of technology, data, and process-driven change.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems, objectives, and requirements.
o Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to elicit high-quality requirements.
o analyse current ("as is") business processes and define future ("to be") states.
o Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
2. Documentation & Communication
o Produce clear documentation, including business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
o Communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Ensure alignment between business goals, solution design, and technical delivery teams.
3. Solution Design Support
o Collaborate with architects, developers, data teams, and product owners to shape solution options.
o Support the evaluation of alternative solutions and provide recommendations.
o Ensure solutions are feasible, aligned with strategic objectives, and meet user needs.
4. Change & Delivery Support
o Assist in project planning, risk identification, and mitigation activities.
o Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios and validate implemented solutions.
o Support user acceptance testing and manage feedback loops.
o Assist in embedding changes by supporting training, communications, and adoption activities.
5. Continuous Improvement
o Identify process inefficiencies and recommend enhancements.
o utilise data insights to inform decision-making and propose improvement opportunities.
o Contribute to building BA best practises, standards, and templates.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within technology, digital, or transformation environments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience gathering and documenting requirements using recognised BA tools and techniques.
* Ability to facilitate workshops and drive stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of translating between business and technical teams.
* Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Desirable
* Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or working with data teams.
* Familiarity with business process modelling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
* Knowledge of systems development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
* Professional certifications such as IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP, BCS Business Analysis, or Agile qualifications.
