Overview
We are advertising for a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist or Senior CBT Therapist to work on an NIHR funded research trial of a therapy for young people with paranoia titled "Treating Unhelpful Suspicious Thoughts in Teenagers". The 22‑month feasibility randomised controlled trial is led by Dr Christopher Taylor and Dr Jessica Kingston, testing a new imagery and values based therapy for young people experiencing paranoia in a schools based setting. The role involves working as a clinical psychologist/trial therapist delivering therapy on the schools based paranoia research trial.
Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy to young people identified in schools on the trial (TRUST therapy).
* Train and supervise research assistants and support recruitment activities.
* Contribute to the development and application of the knowledge and skills framework to support your professional development and career progression.
* Collaborate with the trial team and maintain high standards of clinical practice within a research context.
Qualifications
* Experience of delivering cognitive behavioural therapy and/or working with young people is essential.
* Due to qualify or newly qualified from the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme.
* Band 7 equivalent role; salary approximately £47,181 per annum, pro rata.
