Transmission Quantity Surveying Graduate Programme
Overview: 2-year programme commencing September 2026. Location: Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow or Perth. Salary: £34,000 per annum plus a range of benefits. Degree Disciplines: Quantity Surveying or Construction in the Built Environment.
What you’ll do
As a quantity surveying graduate joining SSEN Transmission, you will follow a specialist pathway, work with experts in your field, and gain exposure within a business area to develop towards a substantive post. You will be part of our Procurement and Commercial team, with opportunities to gain knowledge and experience to work towards a Junior Contract Manager role. You will be supported with a placement plan, regular meetings with your line manager, and quarterly placement reviews, with placements in teams such as Finance, Regulation, Development, and Assurance, plus experience in engineering and operations.
What you need
You’ll have a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction in the Built Environment. Practical work experience in the energy sector and teamwork are desirable. You should be comfortable working to and setting stretch targets, using your initiative, and have a genuine interest in SSEN Transmission and a long-term future with us.
Recruitment process

3. Assessment Day expected January/February 2026; attendance confirmation by 4 January 2026.
