Role Overview:
* Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that integrate AI into NICE’s processes.
* Collaborate across teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for transformation.
* Evaluate and pilot AI tools in healthcare settings, with experience in evidence generation preferred.
* Work on projects related to AI evaluation for NICE’s use and appraisal.
* Engage with stakeholders and partner organisations, both domestically and internationally.
The role can be based in Manchester or London. The Scientific Adviser will work across various workstreams, adapting to business needs, and may also involve:
* Conducting evaluations, data analysis, and disseminating findings.
* Developing NICE responses to science policy issues.
* Identifying methodological research needs and promoting research adoption.
* Developing applications for research funding.
The Data and Analytics (D&A) team within the Science Evidence and Analytics (SEA) Directorate supports NICE’s use of real-world data and evidence, including its AI strategy, which aims to guide AI development, evaluate AI technologies, and explore AI tools to enhance internal processes.
