Overview
This unique post provides a rich opportunity for the successful applicant(s) to develop interest and expertise in Simulation-Based education. The 12-month role is for a Junior Clinical Fellow(s) with a total of 2 days available per week commencing 5th August 2026. Applicants must be free to work predominantly on a Wednesday and or a Thursday.
Responsibilities
The core aspect of the role will be to facilitate Simulation Based Education (SBE) Programs for Residents in the Foundation and IMT programmes, as well as assisting the wider Simulation Faculty with improving patient care and experience through training a wide variety of healthcare professionals.
The fellowship will immerse the successful applicant(s) in the field of SBE, developing an in-depth knowledge of this pedagogy including simulation modalities, scenario and course design, running simulation suite and in‑situ simulation sessions and facilitating debriefing. Previous experience of facilitating or developing simulation education is an advantage but not required as training and supervision in delivering SBE will be provided as part of the role.
Qualifications
The successful candidate(s) will display a passion for delivering simulation-based education, have recent acute clinical experience, and demonstrate excellent clinical skills and an understanding of best practice.
