Role context: Our stores are the life and soul of the business, acting as the main touch points with our evolving consumer base. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in upholding store standards, delivering great service and driving brand values in a premium retail environment.
The Role
To deliver the standards of our two brands, act with entrepreneurial spirit, lead by example and inspire the team to provide an exceptional customer experience while maintaining strong store presentation.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the store teams to generate sales and profit, minimize losses, and create an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
* Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance in collaboration with others.
* Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
* Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication between VM and store teams.
* Partner with the store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
* Focus staff on building quality relationships with internal and external customers, delivering unparalleled service to create a repeat customer base.
* Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, service levels and inventory levels.
* Communicate to the Store Manager what is driving sales and discuss issues/priorities to develop strategies and weekly visual presentation action plans.
* Analyze store-level reports and create action plans to improve results.
* Assist with manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes; recruit personnel with diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
* Collaborate with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including potential successors.
* Participate in weekly management meetings and store-level staff meetings.
* Clearly communicate store and individual sales goals, key performance expectations, sales results and guidance on improving performance.
* Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shopper results.
About You
* You connect with consumers and have prior supervisory or specialist experience within a premium or luxury brand.
* You have people-management experience and act with purpose to resolve conflict constructively.
