Location: Central Trust Office, Willenhall, with travel to all Trust schools

About the Role The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR and Recruitment Manager to join our Central Team. This is a pivotal role, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Trust leaders to lead and manage HR and recruitment across our nine schools.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all HR functions. You will play a central role in developing and implementing effective HR and recruitment strategies, ensuring compliance with employment law, safer recruitment, and promoting an inclusive and supportive working culture.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of high-quality HR services across all nine schools within the Trust. Develop and implement consistent HR policies and procedures in collaboration with external HR support. Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters to school and Trust leaders. Design and implement a Trust-wide recruitment strategy to attract and retain high-quality staff. Oversee safer recruitment practices and compliance with safeguarding policies. Work with the Chief Executive Officer and external HR provider on complex casework. Promote staff well-being, equality, and inclusion across the Trust. Contribute to Trust-wide strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. What We’re Looking For CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential), and working towards or holding Chartered Membership (CIPD Level 7 or equivalent) (desirable). Significant HR experience in a school, public sector, or similarly complex organisation. A strong understanding of employment law, safeguarding, and HR best practices. Proven ability to lead HR projects and manage sensitive employee relations matters. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to Trust schools.
