Please note this is a fixed term position for 2 years.
Working hours: 35 hours per week to include Sunday mornings.

We are looking for a committed Christian with a passion to develop youth ministry provision in The Salvation Army Liverpool Stonycroft, building on the work of our previous youth worker who has established a brilliant foundation and engagement with young people and schools.
You will equip, enable and empower young people and the issues affecting them in the community and inspire them to become followers of Jesus. The successful candidate will be creating opportunities for unchurched young people to engage with faith, engage with young people face to face and on virtual platforms. The role will involve running activities from our church building in Old Swan and going to local schools.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. A national youth qualification or be working towards it and/or good experience of working with youth in areas of discipleship and leadership.
2. Experience of mentoring and supporting young people.
3. A strong work ethic, with initiative, creativity, drive and attention to detail.
4. Demonstrable skills in youth and community engagement.
5. Confidence to facilitate small groups of young people.
6. Able to communicate with young people using relevant digital media.
7. Adaptable, flexible and able to think critically and creatively
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
