Head of Clinical Operations – Fulwood Hall, Euxton Hall & Buckshaw Hospitals, Ramsay Health Care UK
Location: Lancashire (Multi-site; Registered Manager responsibilities at one hospital)
Full Time – hours per week

We are seeking an exceptional and visible clinical leader to take on the position of Head of Clinical Operations, providing senior clinical leadership across our Buckshaw, Euxton Hall and Fulwood Hall Hospitals. This is a key strategic role at the heart of our organisation, responsible for setting and assuring high clinical standards, strengthening governance and ensuring our hospitals consistently meet CQC Fundamental Standards.
The Role
As the Head of Clinical Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Fulwood Hall, Euxton Hall and Buckshaw Hospitals. You will oversee multisite clinical services, be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient centred care while driving continuous improvement in clinical standards, operational performance and regulatory compliance.
In addition, you will act as the Registered Manager for Fulwood Hall hospital, ensuring full compliance with CQC requirements and setting the benchmark for excellence in governance and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide senior clinical and operational leadership across multiple hospital sites.
2. Oversee and enhance clinical governance, patient safety, risk management, and quality improvement programmes.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory frameworks, including direct accountability as Registered Manager for one hospital.
4. Lead and inspire clinical teams to deliver best in class patient outcomes and experience.
5. Drive operational efficiency, workforce planning and service optimisation across the region.
6. Partner with Hospital Directors, medical leaders and central support teams to deliver the strategic goals of Ramsay Health Care UK.
7. Support growth, service development and innovation in line with business and clinical priorities.
8. Champion a culture of accountability, learning and professional excellence.
About You
We are looking for a transformative leader with the credibility, vision and resilience to operate at scale in a complex healthcare environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
9. Senior clinical leadership experience within acute hospital settings (NHS or independent sector).
10. Proven track record of leading multi-site clinical operations or large, complex hospital services.
11. Deep understanding of CQC regulatory frameworks and experience as a Registered Manager (or readiness to take on the role).
12. Strong governance, risk and quality management expertise.
13. Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills.
14. A healthcare professional qualification (NMC or HCPC registration preferred).
