Join our team We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. About the role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to play a pivotal role in the Financial Control team, supporting and managing the delivery of the Statement of Accounts (SOA) and being a key player in completing a successful external audit. You will support the Senior Financial Accountant in ensuring that all regulatory and statutory returns deadlines are met and processes are robust to ensure these are completed accurately and in a timely manner. About you You will be a professionally qualified CCAB accountant with relevant post qualification experience and an understanding of local government finance. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and apply these at a local level to deliver the Statement of Accounts (SOA). You will be comfortable in challenging existing processes, be detail orientated and have strong analytical skills, seeking to deliver accurate and timely reporting. You will be comfortable operating in a deadline driven role and passionate about meeting deadlines for the SOA and other regulatory returns. You will need be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
