The role will compromise of
* To take ownership and responsibility for the execution of all assigned work
* • To define fit for purpose engineering solutions
* • To deliver a budget / estimate, schedule, multi-disciplined detailed design, detailed scope(s) of work, specifications, commissioning plans, training plans, final documentation for all assigned projects
* • To support the project manager(s) with the definition of programmes and budgets
* • To support the project manager(s) with monitoring and reporting of project performance and change management
* • To ensure all work is executed in compliance with all company and client processes
* • To support the successful execution of assigned projects; safely, and in line with specification, budget and programme
* • To support and promote all company and client site directives – HSEQ, best practice, innovations, continual improvement
* • To development and retain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders
* • To maintain up to date knowledge and competence to support the role and to align to client’s and industries’ requirements and directives
* • Strive for efficient delivery via initiatives such as “right first time” and “fit for purpose”
* • To communicate and cooperate with and support all affected parties in order to support efficient and effective project delivery
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare overall project scope, costs and schedules
* • Support project manager with development of the project programme
* • Contribute to process risk assessments (PRAs)
* • Liaise with construction teams to gather information – scope, estimates, methods of working, constructability, change
* • Coordinate the design process and team(s) activities, and ensure input from stakeholders - customers, operations, constructors, subcontractors, suppliers, maintenance Integrity | Commitment to deliver | Relentless pursuit of excellence | Commitment to our people | One high performing team
* • Facilitate a team of multi-discipline designers and engineers in the development of a fully detailed and approved detail design, ensuring all required aspects are considered (standards, directives, specifications and processes)
* • Manage the procurement and expedition of equipment and materials, including the review and technical approval of specifications, purchase requisitions, acceptance criteria, supplier documentation and validation of performance
* • Liaise with planning dept to provide accurate resource and schedule information
* • Facilitate technical and project reviews and approvals
* • Manage the production, issuing and control of project documentation deliverables, including final documentation packs
* • Support the construction and commissioning phases of the project
* • Manage the technical query process
* • Define the commissioning and training (operation and maintenance) procedures
* • Review critical spares requirements and manage initial stores inventory
* • Take responsibility of the project(s) hand over and completion
* • Collate, manage and report key indicator data – programme, cost, change, quality
* • Delivery – quality, programme, budget
* • Competence – technical ability, accuracy, soft skills
* • Contribution – proactive input, knowledge, commitment, team ethic
* • Attendance – time keeping, sick
Key Requirements:
* Degree / HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering discipline
* Level 4 Project Control / Management Qualification
* Functional Safety, IEC61508 – TUV or equivalent
* BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations - C&G2382-15 or equivalent
* Electrical Inspection & Testing – C&G2391, C&G2392, C&G2394, C&G2395
* Electrical Switching
* CDM regulations
* 5 years recent experienced in an equivalent role
* COMAH Tier 1 Process Manufacturing Environment
* Maintenance, shutdown / outage, project, OPEX & CAPEX
* Functional Safety
* ATEX directive
* Electricity at Work Regulations
* High Voltage and Electrical switching
* CDM
* Project delivery lifecycle and processes
* Document control process
* Procurement & expediting processes
* All major Engineering disciplines – mechanical, structural, piping, EC&I, civil, process, etc
* Equipment, material and method specification
* Industrial plant construction, installation, maintenance and modification processes
* Strong PC skills – MS Office, drafting tools, document databases, specialist Engineering design tools
* Budget management
* Team leadership and management
* Reporting and presenting
* Planning and scheduling
