Job Description
The Electrical Facilities Engineer will:
3. Conduct routine and reactive maintenance and repair of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
4. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults within facilities promptly and effectively.
5. Carry out inspections and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
6. Manage external contractors when on site.
7. Take the lead within the facilities maintenance team.
8. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and technical reports.
9. Support energy efficiency initiatives by identifying areas for improvement in electrical systems.
10. Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimise downtime.
11. Ensure all work is performed to high standards of quality and safety.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Facilities Engineer should have:
12. A strong background in facilities/building maintenance with an electrical bias.
13. Relevant electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition, NVQ in electrical installations or similar.
14. Experience and willingness to take the lead within a team.
15. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.
16. General knowledge across facilities/building maintenance.
17. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
18. Experience working within facilities management or a related field.
