Marketing Manager – Customer Growth – River Cruise
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 Depending on Experience

The Saga River Cruise Marketing team is seeking a Marketing Manager to own the Customer Growth Strategy for River Cruises. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of all marketing communications for rivers across a multi-channel function.
You will join a high-performing team, reporting directly to the Head of Cruise Marketing and working closely with our CMO, Head of Digital, and Head of CRM.
As the Customer Growth Marketing Manager, you will facilitate and orchestrate marketing campaigns, planning delivery in line with the seasonal cruise calendar. You will create marketing plans to meet targets for Gross Pax and Gross Revenue, collaborating across all relevant marketing teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities include planning and executing ATL media plans, managing media agency briefs, plans, and budgets, as well as managing PR and relationships with our PR consultant.
This is an exciting marketing opportunity where you can bring your creativity, generate fresh ideas, and inspire travel through River Cruise campaigns.
We operate in a hybrid way at Saga, both remotely and in the office. You will be required to work from Folkestone three days a week.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage campaigns for Saga Rivers, delivering effective marketing communications.
* Develop marketing plans that meet business targets.
* Coordinate stakeholders across Marketing, CRM, and Digital teams, chair planning and delivery meetings.
* Plan cross-channel activities across PR, email, DM, website, and paid media.
* Collaborate with CRM and Digital teams to create seamless customer journeys and content.
* Support testing and optimization of campaigns to improve CPA.
* Track, report, and analyze campaign performance, leading monthly reviews.
* Work with insight teams to test creative messaging for different customer segments.
* Brief and execute ATL media plans, managing budgets and agency relationships.
* Review competitor activity and identify new media partnership opportunities.
* Manage content creation, including sourcing agencies and coordinating shoots.
* Assist Head of Marketing and Marketing Director with marketing documents and activities.
Ideal Candidate
You should have experience as a Marketing Manager in an omni-channel, B2C environment, preferably in travel and cruises, especially European Waterways. Key qualities include:
* Experience managing six-figure marketing budgets.
* Strong project management and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in matrix teams and build external partnerships.
* Proactive, solutions-oriented, with a creative flair.
* Knowledge of industry trends and applying insights to improve performance.
* Experience in large consumer-facing organizations, ideally in travel.
* Strong commercial awareness and a growth mindset.
