Operational Resilience Manager - 9 month FTC

We’re looking for an Operational Resilience Manager to join our team on a 9‑month fixed term contract as we enhance operational resilience across AXA UK&I. In this critical role, you’ll assist in implementing a comprehensive response to regulatory requirements aimed at transforming our approach to resilience within the industry. Collaborating closely with business and operations teams, you’ll help foster a ‘Resilient by Design’ culture, ensuring that resilience weaknesses are identified and addressed in every aspect of our service delivery.
Your contributions will be instrumental in executing the operational resilience framework, encompassing business continuity, crisis and incident management. You’ll play a key part in establishing robust arrangements for all AXA UK companies and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with both regulatory requirements and AXA Group Standards. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
* Identify, review and map important business services.
* End to end scenario stress testing, identifying key issues and vulnerabilities.
* Drafting of annual self‑assessment.
* Develop and monitor detailed MI and KRIs relating to all areas of regulatory operational resilience.
* Assist the Head of Operational Resilience and the Operational Resilience Lead in the development and implementation of continuity strategy for AXA UK businesses, ensuring it supports both large operating companies and small subsidiaries.
* Deliver appropriate crisis and incident management procedures, plans, training and exercising across AXA UK’s businesses.
* Be the expert and serve as the alternate AXA UK point of contact for crisis management, taking the lead for operational resilience when required.
* Support the Head of Operational Resilience and the Operational Resilience Lead in managing an annual testing program that ensures our operational resilience strategies are effective when needed.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience in an operational resilience role.
* Up to date knowledge and understanding of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management practices, standards and developments within the industry.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant FCA and PRA legislation and best practice.
* UK insurance market experience within the last 3 years.
* Knowledge of technical IT and facilities infrastructures.
* Ability to effectively interact, liaise and influence all levels of employee, external project managers and other third parties.
* Effectively document and communicate operational resilience position through Committee and Board papers.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and flex between various activities.
