We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance Operations to join our dynamic team in our Alderley Edge office.
As the Head of Finance Operations, you will oversee all financial operations and ensure efficient management of financial processes and systems.
You will play a key role in driving the financial performance of the organisation by providing strategic financial advice, analysing financial data, and implementing best practices to optimise financial operations. This is a critical leadership position requiring exceptional analytical skills, strong business acumen, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The role supports a wider team of 190 people responsible for external reporting, change management, systems, and processes within Finance.

About the role
* Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial procedures and enhance efficiency.
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
* Manage resources involved in the financial close process.
* Review and oversee adjustments to postings from the sub-ledger, including reconciliations.
* Ensure delivery of a complete and closed ledger to the consolidation team.
* Oversee cost and project accounting activities.
* Manage tax accounting activities.

* Proven experience in financial management and operations within the financial services industry.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on results and team management.
* High-level knowledge of financial systems and their interactions.
* Up-to-date knowledge of accounting legislation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
