Do you have industry experience in domestic electrical installations? Whilst the perfect candidate will have a teaching or assessor qualification, it’s your industry skills, experience and desire to help young people get into construction that we really want. Further teacher training can be provided for the right candidate.

You’ll need to be:

1. great at explaining things simply and clearly
2. hardworking and organised
3. passionate about providing students with a brilliant learning experience
4. able to teach and assess (ideally with a teaching and/or assessing qualification but for the right candidate we’ll train you)
5. experienced in at least one of the building trades

You’ll:

6. teach and/or assess in our Electrical Department in our Construction Faculty
7. support students to succeed
8. support your colleagues and wider team

The £2k (pro rata) annual allowance is a Market Forces Supplement – an extra discretional payment to attract talented staff from industry. It is reviewed every year.
